Very Rev Canon Gerard (Gerry) McCRORY

McCrory, Very Rev Canon Gerard (Gerry), former PP, Magheradroll Parish, Ballynahinch. Died December 19, 2021 peacefully at the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald and late of the Assumption Convent, Ballynahinch. Beloved son of the late Thomas and Ellen McCrory, Castor Bay Road, Lurgan, dearest brother of Patricia and the late John, James Henry, Mary, Danny and Rita, brother-in-law to Nell, Mick and the late Ethna, Stella, and Thomas.

Canon Gerry’s remains will be received into St. Patrick’s Church, Ballynahinch on Wednesday, at 12.00 noon and will repose thereafter. The Church will remain open until 11.00 pm.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 12.00 noon, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Due to current social distancing requirement numbers inside the Church will be limited. The Mass can be viewed, via livestream, at https://streaming.belltron.com.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sister, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, the entire family circle, and his many friends. And by Archbishop Eamon Martin, Bishop John McAreavey, the Missionary Sisters of the Assumption and the Priests and Religious of the Diocese of Dromore.
