Violet E Kennedy (formerly Hunter) - nee Gordon.
We, the family of the late Violet Ethel Kennedy, would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. We were overwhelmed by the kindness and support that we received from family and friends from all over the world.
We would also like to thank Rathmena Care Home for Mum’s care and also for making her final days comfortable.
Thank you to everyone that attended Mum’s funeral, sent sympathy cards, sent text messages and those that sent social media messages.
Special thanks to Reverend Jonathan Moxen for all his prayers and support, and also for the beautiful Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Mum. Thanks also to Lisa and Sophie Patterson for their readings. Thank you also to all that contributed to the church service including the organist, video/audio technicians, and all of those who were working in the background.
We sincerely thank James Irvine Funeral Directors for their guidance, and the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out Mum’s funeral. They went above and beyond their duties to fulfil our requirements and we can’t thank them enough.
We are also grateful to the grave diggers, and to those that brought food for the refreshments after interment, and to those that prepared and served the refreshments.
It would be impossible to thank everyone individually who supported us during this very difficult time but please know that we really appreciated and took comfort in every single thing that was done.
Mum really did receive a great send-off and it wouldn’t have happened without the support of everyone mentioned above.
We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as an expression of our deepest gratitude to all.
