The death has occurred of:
William Edward (Willie) McGEE
We, the family of the late William Edward McGee, wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement.
We deeply appreciate the loyalty and affection of William’s friends & wider family who supported us during the months of his illness through their prayers, frequent visits & many gestures of kindness.
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent mass cards / sympathy cards, brought food, telephone calls/ messages, attended the wake / funeral or helped in any way.
To those who donated to Foyle Hospice in lieu of flowers, thank you.
Sincere and special thanks to Fr O'Hagan for his pastoral care and attentiveness with frequent visits to our home at a very difficult time during William’s illness.
Thanks to both Fr O’Hagan & Fr Liam McClarey for the most personal & fitting funeral mass, Liam McFeely for the beautiful music, Jimmy for his sacristan duties, to those who prepared the grave, the traffic marshals and to the ladies who provided refreshments after the funeral in St. Finlough’s Hall. We are forever grateful.
We wish to extend our appreciation & thanks to the medical & nursing professionals from North West Cancer Centre, Altnagelvin Hospital & Gormley’s chemist. We are especially grateful for the care, compassion and kindness shown to William from all the staff at Dr Quinn & Brolly Practice, Limavady District Nursing Team, Foyle Hospice and Marie Curie.
We also thank Kieran & the staff of O’Brien’s funeral directors for their professionalism, empathy & guidance at such a difficult time & to Billy McKeever for the beautiful flowers.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone personally, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
William's month mind mass will be celebrated in St Finloughs Chapel, Ballykelly on Monday 6th February 2023 at 7.30pm.
