William McCafferty
We the families of the late William McCafferty, would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement.
Thank you to everyone who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, floral tributes and made donations to St.Vincent de Paul. We also thank those who called to the house, to our relatives, friends and neighbours, who helped in so many ways during the wake and funeral and to everyone who brought food to the house. Special thanks to Andrea, Cathy and Paul the Gardener whose help and support we will never forget.
To the Doctors, Nurses and medical staff at Altnagelvin ICU and The Respiratory Ward, thank you so much for your excellent care and kindness towards Willie.
Special thanks to Fr. Gerard Mongan for his comforting words and gentle humour which enabled all of us to feel the presence of William during the funeral mass.
Thank you to Declan, Niamh and Michelle for the beautiful singing and music.
Sincere thanks to Noleen and all at W J O’Brien & Son for their guidance, support and kindness to us and for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.
As it is not possible to thank everyone, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our thanks and appreciation.
William’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated on 27th July at Long Tower Chapel, Derry at 7:30pm.
“ And when the work of grief is done,
The wound of loss will heal
And you will have learned to wean your eyes
From that gap in the air
And be able to enter the hearth
In your soul where your loved one
Has awaited your return
All the time”
- John O’Donohue
