The Family of the late Ainslie Gordon would like to thank all those who sympathised and helped them during their recent sad bereavement. Special thanks to those who comforted Ainslie at the scene, to the two ambulance crews who attended and also the Staff at Antrim Area Hospital.

Sincere thanks to the Regimental Band and their Piper for providing music at the home and the Guard of Honour in the village and to Valerie Quinn for providing music at the home. Also to the Bikers, Philip and Ray who led the funeral cortége to the Church.

Special thanks to Rev Canon RJN Porteus for his exceptional pastoral care and conducting the funeral service. Grateful thanks to all the ladies who helped with the tea, to everyone who supplied food and to Cookstown District LOL No 3 for providing chairs. Also those who sent cards, flowers and to all those who called at the home and attended the funeral, we are so grateful. Thanks to Roddy Acheson and the Vestry of Ardtrea Parish Church, to the grave digger and to the locals around Ardtrea for allowing their property to be used for parking.

Sincere thanks to Cookstown Branch, Ulster Defence Regiment CGC for the courteous manner in which they carried Ainslie on his final journey to be laid to rest at Ardtrea Parish Churchyard, also to Chris, the Bugler and Bert, the Piper for taking part in the proceedings. To Bernie and Martin for arranging the tea and Tracey and all at Cookstown RBL for serving it. Thanks also to the PSNI, in particular the Family Liason Officer. Many thanks to those who kindly and generously gave donations in lieu of flowers to the Gurkha Welfare Trust.

Last, but not least, special thanks to Helen and Kristy from D. Watters Funeral Services for their professionalism, kindness and diligence and helping the Family in every way possible.

It would be impossible to thank everyone individually, so we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere reflection of our gratitude to everyone who supported us in any way.

Mother Amy and the Gordon Family.
