ALEXANDER (ALEX) FERGUSON

July 6, 2016, peacefully in hospital, after a prolonged illness borne with fortitude, much loved husband of Ruby, devoted father of Alex, Gillian and Catherine, caring father-in-law of Heather and Colin, loving grandad of Jonathan, Gary, Thomas and partner Natalie, Rachel, Debbie and Simon and great-granda of Megan and Thomas.

A Service of Thanksgiving for his life will be held in Ballynure Presbyterian Church on Saturday 9th July at 10.00 a.m. followed by interment in Ballyclare Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Chest, Heart and Stroke, c/o Fleming & Cuthbert Funeral Directors, 141 Mill Road, Ballyclare, BT39 9DZ.

Those we love never leave us. Even when our ways must part. All the things that made them special, live forever in our hearts. There in precious sweet reflection, safe from harm we hold them near. Loved and loving still we feel them, ever close and ever near. He stayed the course, he fought the good fight.
