His wife Clare, children Anna, Conall and Cillian, parents Charles and Mary, brothers James and Brendan and the family circle of the late Charles RIP (Saval) wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement.

We would like to thank those who supported us through Charles illness; The staff of Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital; Dr. McLaughlin and nurses from Life and Time; SHSCT Palliative care team; Dr Elizabeth Shannon and district nurses from Rathfriland Health centre.

Thank you to all those clergy who attended Charles in his final days. Thank you to Bishop John McAreavey who celebrated the funeral Mass and to those priests who assisted. Also thank you to Janice Gribben for her beautiful music and singing which so enriched the funeral liturgy.

Our sincere thanks to Archbishop Eamon Martin and the many priests who called to the family home. Also the Sisters of St Clare, Glenvale; the Sisters of Mercy; and the Carmelite Sisters, formerly Glenvale; for their prayers and support during Charles illness.

We would like to thank the many friends and members of IHCPT - The Irish Pilgrimage Trust, which has been an important part of Charles life for the last 24 years and of which he was proud to be Chairman. We would like to thank all those who travelled long distances from all over Ireland to attend the wake and funeral. We appreciated your presence so much.

We would like to thank the many kind neighbours and friends who so generously provided food for the home during Charles final days at home and during the wake. We will never forget your care and generosity.

Our sincere thanks to the Quinn family who provided the coaches for transporting people to the wake on both days.

To Saval GAC who provided stewarding of the traffic during the wake and funeral and at the Club for the meal afterwards we offer our thanks.

To all the groups who formed a guard of honour at the Church we offer our appreciation and thanks.

Thank you to the Principal, staff, parents and pupils of St Colmans Primary School, Saval, who provided support to the family and for their continued support of the children in school.

To all those who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, texts, phone calls and messages of sympathy we are deeply grateful and will always remember your kindness.

Finally, to all those who made donations to IHCPT - The Irish Pilgrimage Trust, in memory of Charles, we are so grateful. It was a charity close to his heart and we will always be proud of his association with and work for IHCPT.

As a token of our appreciation the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
