To the Family of Dr Michael Swallow,
I am sorry to hear of the death of Michael. He impressed me with his skill and care when I was a junior Doctor under his leadership and later as a GP I became aware of his extraordinary kindness with some MS patients in my practice on the Springfield Road. I will miss him also as our Choir Master of the RVH choir. I have lovely memories of him as we performed at many venues in the province mostly before 1969. He was so patient with us all - most of us amateurs in music compared with him. He was always encouraging and never condemning if we hit the wrong note.
In my undergraduate days he was our guest at one of our year dinners and he entertained us spontaneously with his pianos skills and singalongs.
