Gerti, Lena, Nicholas, Thomas and Alexander, please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of Robert.
He was a wonderful presence on Slugger and I'm so sad that I never met him in the real world. I can only say that I'd wished for that meeting, through a Slugger event, in my last email with him and was suspicious that he didn't reply, a suspicion answered by his articles on dealing with his illness.
His passing is a great loss.
