Deepest sympathies to Sam and the Cooke family circle. At John’s insistence, when Heather and I were married (quite some time ago!), he borrowed a blue Rolls Royce from a pal, to provide a posh commute to church for the bride to be. After the ceremony John drove us newlyweds to the reception providing loads of JC giggles en-route. John turned up suited & booted, in-character as chauffeur for the day! A memorable gesture from a lovely, generous man with a cheeky grin and piercing blue eyes.
