All the staff at the Belfast Skin Clinic extend our deepest sympathy to Mel’s family and friends. Mel was a valued integral member of our team, an exceptional, caring colleague and mentor, a dedicated gifted plastic surgeon, a true gentleman who remained quietly modest despite his many talents. We feel privileged to have worked with him and he will be sorely missed.

Belfast Skin Clinic
The entire staff of the Plastic Surgery Department at the Ulster Hospital are deeply saddened by the sudden death of their esteemed colleague, Mr Mel Tohill. He was a skilful, dedicated and compassionate surgeon, a highly-respected teacher and mentor, and a very dear colleague and friend. The care of his patients was at the centre of his professional life, and we all benefitted from his wise counsel.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Mel’s beloved wife, Jackie, his precious sons, Malachy, James and Danny, his father and brother, and his wider family circle and many friends.
He will be greatly missed by his colleagues and patients. May he rest in peace.
