If roses grow in heaven Lord, please pick a bunch for me,
place them in my mothers arms and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her that I love her and miss her more than words can say,
and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while.
Remembering you is easy mum, we do it every day,
there is an ache in our hearts that will never go away,
but as much as we love and miss you, we wouldn’t bring you back to suffer once again.
God has you now in His keeping, we have you in our hearts.

God saw you getting tired Mum and cure was not to be,
so He put His arms around you and whispered Come to Me.
With tearful eyes we watched you fade away,
although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
It’s lonesome here without you Mum, we miss you more each day,
it doesn’t seem the same since you have gone away.
When days are sad and lonely and everything goes wrong,
we seem to hear you whisper, cheer up and carry on.
Each time we see your picture, you seem to smile and say,
“don’t cry I’m in God’s hands, until we meet again.”

Last night as I lay sleeping, an angel came to me,
I opened my eyes and stared at her, wondering who she could be.
I looked a little closer and I saw a familiar face,
she was my granny Kate saying she found her perfect place.
She told me she was happy and asked me not to cry,
she said her pain was over, so I said my last goodbye.
