My 24 year old son had the privilege of meeting Catherine last year when she was on the street. I myself am a recovering alcoholic so my son knows what that illness entails and he himself was suffering from mental illness at the time. What struck him was her immediate concern and compassion for me, she sent a scrap of paper with her number on it and a box of cereal bars. He was deeply moved by this as indeed was I and it is with immense sorrow that we learn of her death on the street. She was a lady inside and no doubt she is in a much better place. Much sympathy to all her family.
