McMaster (Noel)
Died May 19 2016
Deeply regretted by
Aunt Stella & family
God Bless. Sunday 22 May 2016 Stella Stewart, Lisburn

I was saddened to learn of the death of Noel. I remember him when he was in the Church Lads' Brigade at Christ Church Lisburn ( I was in the Boys' Brigade at Sloan Street ) but also at Lisburn Tech. When Noel was Head Prefect in 65/66
I was his deputy, before taking over from him the next year.
He was a very gifted musician and although he wouldn't have known it, he Mr Mac taught my great neices guitar at Riverdale School in Legacurry just a few years ago.
My condolences to all his family and friends. I will be thinking of you on Tuesday.
Sunday 22 May 2016 Godfrey Brown, 75 Coates Lane, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my cousin Noel McMaster on 19 May 2016.

My sincerest condolences and thoughts extend to Patsy and family in your time of loss.

I grieve with you from afar on the taking of a kind, caring and gifted person.

I have fond memories of time spent with Noel, Patsy and family during past visits from Australia to Northern Ireland.

I will never forget being invited by Noel to accompany him and the Lisburn MUFC Supporters Club to Old Trafford in 1982. Noel had rerecorded the 'Flowers of Manchester' in memory of the ill-fated Munich air disaster of 1958 and his rendition was played at half-time with flags, respectfully, at half mast.

The trip was, and is a memory for life, capped off by a win over Aston Villa and a few drinks and numerous songs during our overnight stay in Carlisle.

I recall the passion of music in Noel's voice and beaming face as he proudly discussed teaching the guitar to school students. He could, in my opinion, make a 12 string guitar purr like a Rolls Royce engine.

I bid farewell to Noel with 'My Lagan Softly Flowing' in my ears, and the big man singing it sweetly and passionately.

Thank you for the cherished memories Noel.

May your memory and music live on, and may you Rest in Peaceful Slumber alongside those who have passed before us.

I bid a fond adieu on behalf of your extended family in Australia.
Your loving cousin - Gary McMaster Friday 20 May 2016 Gary McMaster & Family - Melbourne, Australia
