To Emlyn's Family
I am so sorry for the loss and grief since Emlyn's passing. It makes no sense. I have been numb since hearing of his illness, and in shock that he is gone so soon. He was such a dedicated and passionate man. I have many wonderful memories of him in action; on the pitch, in my class at St Patrick's and living with him in Dublin.
He gave me somewhere to live when I was admitted to TCD.
Thor Place was a very nice introduction to the world of dentistry and standing on my own feet.
He has been an example to me of how one should be in so many ways. And will always be.

To Emlyn's Family
I have been numb since hearing of Emlyn's illness and shocked at his recent passing. In class and life he was acutely intelligent,. On the pitch he was a giant granite opponent. As a Young Scientist, he was a leader. As a friend he gave me somewhere to live in Dublin when I began my studies of dentistry. It makes no sense that he is gone. I will see him in the stars, where we began.
