For Nicholas Kopschaninow, Sharon Kopschaninow, Jimmy, Mary and respective families.
If possible, could this be read out at dear Robert's funeral? Many thnxxx
It was with enormous sadness that I felt the devastating news of Nick's dear Dad's passing away, when my sister Sharon rang me 2 July NZ time.
I have known Robert for all of Nick's life and throughout those 14 years have seen a loving, caring and great Father Son relationship evolve.
Robert's kindness and concern for Nick's upbringing has always been evident. They walked, rode bikes, chopped wood, read books, played footy- I recall Robert riding around Eastbourne like a schoolboy on every visit - (often going to get the fish n chips for Nick).
Robert had endless energy for his son. Nothing was too much trouble for Nick, especially giving his devoted attention to him. I recall Robert as a clucky hen when Nick was born in Sydney. He was over the moon at Nick's birth - his treasured son.
He was a cool shopper for Nick, buying wonderful books, clothes and electronics.
Robert was courteous, kind and chatty to me and I always looked forward to a natter with him on most of his visits to be with his son in NZ. Robert would say everything was fine, busy and on an even keel. I loved his Irishness too!
Thinking of you heaps and heaps Nick- my treasured nephew.
Farewell Mr Blue eyes - those Irish eyes could certainly smile!
RIP
