We will always remember Walter as kind and generous man, with an open hearted and ready laugh. A very handsome and dashing man who seemed to embody the standards of an older and more gracious way of life.
Our father, Paddy, it has to be admitted, was often caustic about his in laws, but in Walter’s case, he only ever had good things to say, a remarkable feat indeed and of course, our mother, Emily, loved Walter and Betty. I am sure you are all very sad indeed to lose him but what a great father to have had in your life and I am sure wonderful memories to comfort you all.
