David SMITH (ex R.U.C. George Cross, P.S.N.I., retired)
Wife Rosemary, son David, daughter Linda and Family of the late David Smith wish to thank everyone who sympathised with them throughout their recent bereavement. We are truly grateful to everyone who called, sent flowers, cards and donated to the RUC Benevolent fund. The support has been overwhelming and it is a comfort to know that David who was a beloved Husband, Father, Father-In-Law and Grandad, was so loved as a colleague and friend.
Thank you to everyone who attended David's funeral, to the piper and the bugler, the RUC GC Guard of Honor, Pastor Ken Humphries & Pastor David Burke, Trevor & Alan Sloan, and Cookstown PSNI. Also, our heartfelt thanks to the staff and management at Blackburn Mall, the Northwest Ambulance Service, and the staff at Royal Blackburn Hospital A&E Department for all the care provided.
Finally, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Bryan, Carole, and the all the staff at Steenson's for bringing David home from Blackburn to Cookstown, for the dignity with which they organised the Funeral, for the respect and care they offered the family during what has been such a difficult time.
