The family of the late Eoin Franey R.I.P wish to express our deep appreciation and sincere thanks for the support shown following the loss of our devoted and dearly missed husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and a good friend to all. Words cannot adequately express our heartfelt thanks to extended family, friends, neighbours and community who sympathised and helped during this difficult time. Sincere thanks to all who attended the wake or funeral and sent cards.

A special word of thanks to Father Kevin McElhennon for his comforting and consoling eulogy and to Father Thomas Canning, Father Michael Doherty, Father Declan Boland, Father Sean McCartan, Father Peter McCawille and Father Peter O’Kane for their compassion and support shown to the family during Eoin’s illness and for celebrating his requiem mass. Thank you to the readers, eucharistic ministers and gift bearers who contributed to the funeral. Many thanks to Noleen Neill and Damian Cullen for the beautiful music provided and to Father Paul Fraser for preparing the chapel.

A special word of thanks to St Joseph’s Primary School Drumquin, Thornhill College Derry, Beragh Red Knights GFC, Evolution Healthcare and Fats Boys Biking Club who formed a guard of honour.
We thank Beragh Red Knights GFC, Drumquin Wolfe Tones GFC, PD coaches Beragh and Niall Donnelly (D-mec) who for the duration of the wake organised and facilitated travel and carparking.

Thank you also to all those who brought food or served tea. We are deeply grateful to close friends and family who helped with all arrangements at the house.

A special word of thanks to the doctors and staff of Strule Medical Practice, Care for Cancer Omagh, Altnagelvin Cancer Centre and to the District Nurses who assisted Eoin in the latter stages of his illness.

Many thanks to Fergal Farley Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravediggers who prepared Eoin’s final resting place. Thanks to everyone who attended the funeral, watched via web cam and to all who assisted in carrying his coffin. Thank you also to the Drumquin Hall Committee for their assistance in providing refreshments in the hall.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.

Eoin's Month Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 6th January 6.30 pm in St Patrick’s Church, Langfield, Drumquin. It will also be able to be viewed via webcam.

‘A heart of gold, a smiling face,
someone who cannot be replaced.’
