James (Jimbo) Crossan

We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of James (Jimbo) Crossan, peacefully at Altnagelvin hospital on 16th May 2023.

President of The AOH - Board of Erin and former player and manager of Derry City FC.

Late of 100 Woodbrook and formerly of 2 Hamilton Street. May he rest in peace.

Beloved husband of Nora. Devoted father of Seamus, Maraide, Liam, Anne, John, Karen, Martin, Joan, Barry, Elaine and the late Brenda. Loving granda and great-granda to all of his grandchildren. Dearest brother of Jobby and the late Eddie, Mary, Harry, Ron, Liam and Patsy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Jimbo’s remains will be reposing at his daughter Anne's residence, 3 Lenamore Park from approx. 3:30pm this afternoon Wednesday 17th May. Funeral leaving from there on Friday 19th May at 9:20am for 10am requiem mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
