Mary Ann Hayes (née McDonnell)

Hayes (nee McDonnell) (Newry) died 19th November 2023 peacefully at Daisy Hill Hospital. Mary Ann RIP, beloved wife of the late Gerard and much loved mother of Sean, Barry, Leo, Marcella, Rosemary and Andrew. Sister of Owen and the late Paddy. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.

Her remains will repose at her home, 5 Dora Avenue from 2.00pm until 9.00pm today Monday and Tuesday. Removal on Wednesday at 11.20am for 12.00noon Funeral Mass in Sts. Patrick & Colman’s Cathedral. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery. House private morning of funeral. Mary Ann's family invite anyone attending her funeral as a celebration of her life to wear bright colours.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren Gemma, Lisa, Aine, Clare, Jessica, Oisin and Celly; her 4 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, family circle and friends.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired to Southern Area Hospice c/o Charles Digney and Sons Funeral Directors, 4 Sugarhouse Quay, Newry.
