Samuel James STEWART

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sam on 29 April 2022, aged 89 years, at Craigdun Nursing Home, Cullybackey, formerly of Pommern Parade, Belfast.
Husband of his beloved wife, the late Winnie, for almost 50 years. Sam will be lovingly remembered by his sister Eileen, sons Alan and David, daughters-in-law Emma and Jayne, and grandchildren Isla, Esme, Joshua and Emily.

Sam worked at Belfast City Hall and then in the NI Housing Executive. He played scrum half for Grosvenor High School, Grosvenor Former Pupils and CIYMS and was a lifelong Ulster and Ireland rugby fan. He also enjoyed playing golf at Carnalea Golf Club in Bangor. Sam attended Bloomfield Presbyterian Church and was a former member of Glenburn Art Club.

A Service of Thanksgiving will be held on Monday 9th May 2022 at 2.00pm in Bloomfield Presbyterian Church, Belfast.
