Bairds of Antrim was founded in the late 1870s by James Baird, great grandfather of the current Manager, Jon Baird. In the early years the firm was a meeting point for those transporting their goods from the North West of the province to the docks in Belfast. Horses were fed and rested before the final journey to the docks.
