Davidson - Joseph (Noel), 21st May 2020, peacefully at hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Late of Mill Street, Comber.
Beloved son of Elsie and the late Norman Joseph, and loving brother of Ralph, Gordon, twin
brother Davy, Clifford, Paul & Avril.

Regrettably, in accordance with current guidelines, house and funeral private, however, the funeral cortege will proceed from Gilmore's Funeral Parlour via Comber Square and Mill Street, stopping at Noel's late residence, on Wednesday at approx. 12.40pm, allowing neighbours and friends the opportunity to pay their respects.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Ward 9, Ulster Hospital c/o Gilmore Funeral Directors, 13 The Square, Comber BT23 5DX.

Will be loving remembered by his sorrowing Mother, Brothers, Sister, Sisters-in-law, Nieces, Nephews and the entire family circle.

A golden heart stopped beating,
hardworking hands at rest.
It broke our hearts to see you go,
God only takes the best.

We have so many fond memories of Noel. He loved that his cousin and former band mate had become a couple and many an evening he had us in stitches with stories about the old days. We will really miss his straight talking and quirky sense of humour.

Noel was one of the few people I enjoyed bumping into when I was out and about.
Several years ago I met Noel near the Square in Newtownards. We reminisced about family, people, music, places (mostly Carrowreagh and Dundonald) and recalled and exchanged stories from childhood, adolescence and adulthood. At times we spoke and laughed so loudly that some passersby were quite bewildered.
Noel had an amiable personality, a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humour.
I didn't realise that would be the last time I would see him.
